HCT 116/Firefly Luciferase Cell Line
Description: Human HCT 116 cell line was derived from human colorectal carcinoma. It has a mutation in codon 13 of the ras proto-oncogene. HCT 116 cells are positive for transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF beta 1) and beta 2 (TGF beta 2) expression. HCT 116 cell line was used in tumorigenicity studies in vitro and in vivo. It forms primary tumor after implantation into nude mice, which makes it a great tool for studying the mechanisms of tumor growth and metastasis. HCT116/firefly luciferase stable cells express firefly luciferase.
